Meet The Pink Event Founder

Tamika Josephs-Smith, Event Consultant, Graphic Content Designer, and CEO of Diamond Event Services, Inc., is a passionate Entrepreneur who continues to make an impact in her community and beyond, through her businesses and other ventures.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Marketing from Howard University in Washington, DC, and Certification for Financial Management in Organizations from University of Maryland Global Campus.

​​Tamika is known for creating and producing events that support and bridge women-focused businesses, charities, and the community. For more than a decade Tamika has produced the wildly popular, The Pink Event (TPE)—an event she created—that has connected many local and national brands, as well as charitable organizations, with hundreds of consumers over the years. Her stellar events and thought leadership garnered features on Fox 45 Baltimore, NBC 11 Baltimore, WTOP Washington, MYTV Baltimore, The Capital Gazette, as well as several blogs and podcasts.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur and creating TPE, Tamika worked in the Financial Services industry, earning several awards, while gaining experience as a financial management consultant.  It was the satisfaction she experienced from interacting and helping her clients while working in financial services that incited the entrepreneurial spirit in her.  With a driving desire to help small business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs realize their full potential, Tamika launched the TPE Community. The TPE Community strives to provide its members with innovative and practical marketing strategies to help them grow their market share.
 
Tamika resides in Odenton, Maryland with her husband Michael and their Bichon, Max.  She loves sampling new restaurants on date nights with her husband and also love to crochet for relaxation.
 
Watching her favorite TV shows on Food Network, supports her love for experimenting with new cooking recipes from various cultures.  In fact, tips from the shows allow her to indulge her creativity and imagination when she creates new food masterpieces.
