The organization was founded by retired firefighter, Marshall Moneymaker and his wife Shannon after he lost three older sisters, Vicky, Penny, and Valessa to breast cancer. For 3 Sisters is committed to supporting breast cancer fighters and survivors in any way possible, so no man or woman fight breast cancer alone.
The organization has three core programs to help in its mission.
The Road to Resources—a one-of-a-kind program providing financial, emotional, and resource case management support to men and women affected by breast cancer.
Primarily serving poor, low-income, and middle-class women between the ages of 24 and 65*, the Road to Resources program uniquely addresses the need for integrative resource case management in the breast cancer community, while further addressing the financial and emotional challenges faced by breast cancer fighters and survivors during and after a breast cancer diagnosis.
“After losing three sisters to breast cancer, we discovered that the process by which breast cancer fighters and survivors asked for and received resource support, was fundamentally flawed,” said co-founder Marshall Moneymaker. “Recognizing that a breast cancer patient’s physical health, treatment status, education and literacy level, income, and access to the internet were potential impediments to successfully securing financial support, we eliminated the weakest link in the process—the patient burden—and instead created a new pathway to success.”

Odenton, MD (January 23, 2018)-- Diamond Event Services, Inc. celebrates the return of The Pink Event on March 25th from 12-5 PM at BWI Airport Marriott. The one-day, women-focused expo provides a unique environment for multicultural women to shop, attend workshops, enjoy live music, get pampered, network, and build relationships. More than 500 women attended this one-of-a-kind event in 2017.
For eight consecutive years, the expo has repeatedly empowered local women entrepreneurs with a platform for economic value exchange and social interaction.
The annual event held in March—National Women’s Month—will continue to deliver attendees with the ultimate women’s day out. Activities will take place in the 18,000-sq. ft. event space on the ground level of the award-winning Marriott hotel in Linthicum, MD.
